We left Honolulu last night around 11pm and are heading south to the island of Kiribati (Fanning Island) and the port of Tabuaeran, arriving there the morning of 17 October.  It'll actually be the 16th, but we cross the International Date Line prior to arrival, losing a day technically!

The island is very poor and one that we couldn't visit on our last South Pacific cruise in 2022 due to COVID.  The inhabitants have no cell service, no internet, NADA.  Many guests, including us, are taking donations of toiletries, school supplies, clothing, etc. for the island people.  

The weather has been great and we have 2 more days at sea.  We finished Friday the 13th with a beautiful sunset and a rare towel animal!

Aitutaki, Cook Islands, is the second most visited island in the Cook Islands.  Secluded and romantic, one can look forward to languid, leisurely days simply reveling in each other's company and jaw-dropping surroundings.
