What a pleasant view we had early this morning!! We've had smooth sailing since leaving San Diego and one more day at sea, arriving in Hilo on Sunday. The weather has been great as well.
Robbi has been playing Mah-Jongg every afternoon with a group of ladies and enjoying it immensely. John's reading his way through the onboard ship library, and at the gym every morning getting his hour of workout and then walking around the Promenade deck as well. The food has been great (we've even been to the dining room !!!!)and the entertainment superb! And John is pampering Robbi with a Chai Latte every morning after his workout! :-):-)
Captain Paul Adams and his crew have been super-friendly and attentive to the slightest detail. He's seen on deck, socializing daily and genuinely interested in the passengers. Needless to say, we are enjoying this cruise. Speaking of the Captain, he was in the Lido Market this morning chatting with the guests at breakfast and stopped by our table to say "HI!'. He even sat down a few tables from us and ate with a group! I can't say I've ever seen that on a Holland America ship before!
Wow, I've never seen the captain eat with the guests either, at least not informally! You need to get to know him, John! Maybe he will join you on your Promenade walks!
