On our way to Pago Pago and at 4:40am Hawaii time we crossed the Equator and then we crossed back over the International Date Line around 1:05pm. So we're "back from the future"!!!
Today was the first day that we had cloudy skies, but it was a welcome reprieve as the humidity was high at the Equator as usual.
Since we crossed the Equator, the King Neptune Ceremony took place this afternoon to initiate the pollywogs, those you've never crossed the Equator before, into the Golden Shellbacks. Fun time for all!
Fortunately we were initiated before in 2022, and many times going back and forth to Brasil and South America in the 1980's and the 2000's!! So we're just a couple of old sea dogs and old time mariners!!!
