After leaving Hilo last evening, we did a scenic cruising along some of the northern islands heading to Kauai, the oldest and the largest island in the Hawaiian group. We began our circumnavigation of Kauai around 2:30pm Hawaii time and what spectacular views. This is where Jurassic Park was filmed. The Captain opened the bow of the ship for us and we had a narrator telling us about all the sites and history. We've only experienced the ship's bow opened once before when we went through the Panama Canal. It is a super experience being so close to the ocean and so open!!
Here are some of the photos, but they'll never do justice!! It was a "YOU HAD TO BE THERE MOMENT"!!!
Continuing to cruise around Kauai through the night, docking in Nawiliwili, Kauai in the morning!
Breathtaking! I'm assuming this is the Na Pali Coast area?
